Rubber produced by the smallholders on their blocks across the river from Murua station was bought by DASF staff. It was then baled and shipped to Steamships Trading Company at Port Moresby via the monthly 'K' boat.
Supplies for the station mostly came from Port Moresby via the monthly Steamships Trading Company "K" boats, so-named because their names all started with the letter "K". Rubber produced by the smallholders was shipped out on the same boats.
